We have the Shingles vaccine!
Should I get the Shingles vaccine?
The CDC recommends that all adults over the age of 60, and immunocompromised individuals 50 or older, should be vaccinated against Shingles with the newest Shingles vaccine on the market, Shingrix. The previous Shingles vaccine, Zostavax, has been found to only prevent 35%-65% of Shingles cases compared to Shingrix which prevents 85%-90% of Shingles cases.
Will my insurance pay for the Shingles vaccine?
100% of Medicare Part D enrollees and 97% of commercial plan beneficiaries have Shingrix coverage (copays vary by plan). Call us today to check for coverage and pricing!
